Division 3 Football Colleges

If you are trying to play football at the next level, then division 3 football colleges just may be the way to make it happen for you. Football at this level just may be the answer you have been looking for. As you read this article, you'll discover three reasons why it may just be the right answer for you to play at the next level.

1- HIgh Level Of Competition

If you have ever attended a division 3 football game, you know the competition level is extremely high. The athletes who play at this level are very talented and skilled. In fact, many of them are just as skilled as players at the Division 1 or Division 2 levels, but many of them just do not have the size and athleticism requirements to play at the higher levels.

2- Expanded Opportunity

Scholarships are not given in division 3 football, so the athletes who play at this level are true student-athletes. If doesn't mean they were not recruited or they are not talented, it just means they may not have been heavily recruited division 1 or division 2 school, or they simply chose Division 3 because they decided it was the right answer for them.

Although scholarships are not given at this level, financial aid is available based on academic achievement and family needs.  There are hundreds of these smaller schools across the nation who need talented football players to come and play for them. This spells opportunity for YOU and your desire to play at the next level!

3- Great Schools

Most of the schools that compete at this level are fairly small schools. Many of them will have from one thousand to a few thousand students in the entire school. These means the classes are smaller and the professors have a chance to really get to know each student. You won't see auditoriums with 500 students in one class in these smaller schools.  Smaller class sizes and higher individual attention leads to a better education.

Summary

Division 3 football colleges just may be the type of schools you have been looking for.  Start making contact with coaches as soon as possible to get them interested in recruiting you. Most of these coaches have very small recruiting budgets and they will be glad to hear from you if you have the talent and skills to play at this level.
